Legal conversations were had. One conversation centered on the feds trying to make all open hot spots considered an ISP; with the legal logging responsibilities. Another conversation centered on the HD-DVD code release. There were conversations on obscure programming languages. We talked about GPS and it’s use/mis-uses.

Mind altering hardware is brought; it sends electrical pulses at a specific frequency to enhance the mind. Some hackers saw weird pulses, others didn’t experience anything.

More permanent meeting location; The Willow House. Ugly shows us his Guitar Hero hardware hack (oscillating bar). XlogicX shows how to rip up a 9-Volt to get 6 AAAA batteries.

New meeting location (temporary) at Peter Piper Pizza. Evil1 and XlogicX DDOS a arcade game. We experiment on the pager device used at the pizza place to let the customer know there is pizza. We also ate pizza.

AgentOrange presents SQL injection. Dual presents bypassing hardware on a VoIP device. XlogicX brings grappling hook.

Lots of new people, and even old people; Dual and Kondor return. AgentOrange has presentation on non-SQL database hacking with PHP. Ugly brings a Jacob’s ladder. XlogicX brings a toy: GPS and LCD modules connected to a Basic Stamp 2e processor. WTF item for this month was brought by NAK, it was a bee feeder, I forget who guessed it, and if it was even a legitimate guess (many clues were given).

Ryh0t comes back to one of our meetings, with daughter. XlogicX has presentation on using a sound card to make a low frequency 0-scope/data capture device. WTF for this month was finding out what signal the Basic Stamp was putting out. Nak found that it was Morse code for phx2600.
