I [XlogicX] registered this website on September 23 of 2004. I did this for a few reasons. The main reason is that there was no real official 2600 website for Phoenix. There was www.az2600.com, but the people running that site don’t come to our meetings. There’s www.dc602.org, but the site name would imply that it is a Defcon site, though it was at least organized by people that went to our meetings and isn’t actually too closely tied with Defcon anyway. I put the site up for official reasons only, and as of January 2005, it became official.

In late December 2007, one of our members, PHLAK, decided the site needed a redesign. This idea was discussed in the forums and agreed that an update was needed. PHLAK then dedicated his time and worked into the wee hours of the night and came up with the design you see now with some help from other members of the community.

Come August 2008 PHLAK decided the PHX2600 website once again needed a total overhaul. So he eagerly went to work, fully recoding the entire site and intigrating WordPress into the site to provide a better content management system for all and to, hopefully, pull some more traffic to the site.
