Ladies and gentleman of the Phoenix hacker community, we need your help! Over the years, the PHX2600 has been a thriving community with dozens of bright minded individuals, each with a unique set of ideas and skills and a desire to share their knowledge with their fellow hackers. There would be meeting after meeting with presentation after presentation. Hackers helping hackers (and interested sheeple as well) learn and expand their knowledge.
That brings us to today. As of late it seems the PHX2600 forum/blog seems to have quieted down a considerable amount and, at times, feels empty and forgotten. The meetings are still going on and, for the most part, are of a reasonable size and bring lots of good information and occasionally presentations, but the bulk of our community discussions seemed to always come from the site. In an effort to reinvigorate some contribution to our site and potentially drive more traffic to it, I’d like to announce the Save our Site Contest.
Contest Overview
As a participant, write an article on a topic of your choice that is in some way relevant to the PHX2600 (hacking, modding, phreaking, etc..). These articles will be published via our blog after review and voted upon by our members at the end of the competition. The article with the most number of votes at the end of the competition will be awarded a $30 credit to our swag store (http://www.cafepress.com/phx2600) paid for by me. If anyone else would like to contribute to the winners pool, we may be able to have a second and third prize as well (please contact me if interested in contributing).

PHX2600 Flyer Preview
Get your official PHX2600 meeting flyers and help spread the word today!
Help out the group by placing some flyers wherever people will see them. If you frequent a coffee house, place some there. If your work is rather technical, set some out in the break room. If you attend a technical school, post some on the cork boards they have all over the place. Just make sure you get approval before posting these anywhere.

Just launched version 4.0 of the PHX2600 layout. I wanted to get this out before Defcon, so tonight was the night. More information on the style and other back end changes to come.
If there are any bugs or problems noticed, please email me at phlak@phx2600.org.

The server move went down fairly smoothly. There were a few lingering problems I came across this morning, but resolved those promptly.
Some users may still not be able to access the site because of the 24 hour TTL GoDaddy had on the DNS records. Aside from that, everything should be working 100% now.
If there are any questions or concerns, please address them here: http://phx2600.org/forum/viewtopic.php?uid=53&f=8&t=822&start=0

Once again I have been hard at work to bring to you this feature filled website. This site has been lightly tested during the design phase, but like any human being, I am susceptible to making mistakes. If you notice any spelling, design, or other flaws with this site, or would like to contact me, please do so here or in the forums.
Some of you may be asking, what does this new site add? Well, this site was built from the ground up to utilize WordPress, a state-of-the-art publishing platform, or blog. With WordPress, pages are now easily editable, and once tedious tasks (like updating the Meeting History) are now a whole lot simpler and straight forward. Also, by utilizing WordPress, we can bring the website ever closer to home by allowing each and every one of you contribute by being an author and publishing in our Blog. If you would like to write an article, please sign up for an account, then contact either XlogicX or myself, and we will promote up your clearance level to “Author” or whatever we see fit.
Once again, if you have any questions or concerns about the site, WordPress, the Forums or you just wanted to know what I had for lunch, please feel free to contact me or post your questions in the forums.
Thanks go out to XlogicX for providing the server and setting up the databases, and to all of you for your support and participation in PHX2600
